Member, Neal & McDevitt, LLC (2001 – Present) Lisa joined the firm in June of 2001 as Of Counsel and was promoted to Member in January of 2004.  Lisa’s practice focuses on all aspects of trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and domain name law, including counseling clients regarding the selection, adoption, use and protection of trademarks, the registration of domain names, copyrights and trademarks on a worldwide basis, and licensing.  Lisa also has extensive litigation experience, including proceedings involving trademark, copyright, and domain name disputes before U.S. Federal Courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the World Intellectual Property Organization.

Instructor, Roosevelt University Paralegal Studies Program Intellectual Property Specialty Seminar Course (1999 - Present) - Provide paralegal students with a comprehensive study of the law pertaining to Intellectual Property, including the procedural and substantive laws of copyrights, trademarks, patents and trade secrets.  Issues involving international protection, domain name disputes, social media and advertising disputes are also discussed.

Of Counsel, Piper, Marbury, Rudnick & Wolfe (Now DLA Piper) (2000-2001) Lisa joined PMRW, an 800 attorney firm with a large intellectual property practice, in March 2000.  At PMRW, Lisa concentrated on trademark counseling, prosecution and licensing, as well as participating extensively in TTAB proceedings.  Lisa also worked on both trademark and copyright litigation matters.

Corporate and Claims Counsel, CNA Insurance Companies (1993-2000) Lisa joined CNA in 1993 where she focused on litigating matters relating to intellectual property disputes, corporate and electronic commerce coverage issues, and environmental matters.

Harrigan's Pub (1994 - 1999) Lisa was the sole owner of Harrigan's Pub where she was responsible for all operations of the bar, including inventory control and ordering, maintaining business documents, scheduling band performers, and maintaining employee and customer relations.

Associate, Bollinger, Ruberry & Garvey (1991-1993) At BRG, Lisa was responsible for coverage litigation matters. During her time, she drafted declaratory judgment complaints and responsive pleadings; performed policy language analysis, researched pertinent case law, and drafted coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters. She also drafted and responded to written discovery, took and defended depositions, and presented oral arguments. In addition, Lisa first chaired a trial that resulted in a directed verdict. She also independently managed litigation matters, including preparation of strategies and overall litigation plans, preparation and participation in written discovery and depositions, and settlement negotiations.  

Associate, Keck, Mahin & Cate (1988-1990) At KMC, Lisa was responsible for handling commercial litigation matters.  She performed extensive legal research and drafted legal documents pertaining to commercial transactions, trademark and copyright law; took and defended depositions, propounded and responded to discovery, and argued court motions.
