Biography
Audra Kemp began her legal career in 1995 as an intern in private practice, focusing on intellectual property law. After passing the New York and Massachusetts Bars, she began specializing in all aspects of trademark prosecution and brand management, from selection, clearance and searches, through contract negotiations, maintenance, and enforcement. With over 20 years of experience in this field, Audra continues to manage a very active client base, spanning several international trademark portfolios, and representing a wide range of clients across various industries. Audra’s practice has developed through long-standing and carefully nurtured relationships with associates and colleagues around the world, providing strategic, multi-jurisdictional oversight in trademark and copyright matters. Most of Audra’s attention centers on prosecution and maintenance, as well as enforcement of these large trademark portfolios on behalf of clients.
Audra also spent eight years of her career as an attorney editor and publications manager at Lexis-Nexis. She expanded the product line of a burgeoning Law School Division, collaborating with sales and marketing, developing promotional materials, and recruiting authors for new and existing publications. She moved to the International and General Business Law Division to manage established, multi-volume treatises such as Corbin on Contracts and Business Organizations with Tax Planning. This business law background has served her well in assisting clients to identify critical issues that overlap into the trademark space.
