Liz has been with Neal & McDevitt since 2009. Liz started her practice in 1997 as a summer associate, clerk, and associate in the Chicago, Washington D.C., and Moscow offices of Latham & Watkins. During this time, her practice focused on general corporate and commercial litigation matters. She then moved to the Denver area and worked in the trademark groups at Dorsey & Whitney and Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck before returning to the Chicago area where she grew up.
Liz’s practice includes counseling clients in the areas of selection, adoption, use, protection, registration, and enforcement of trademarks, domain names, and copyrights on a worldwide basis. Liz represents a wide range of clients in a variety of industries but has focused her practice on clients in the alcohol beverage industry since 2000. She is a regular speaker on intellectual property topics as they affect the alcohol beverage industry across the country.
Outside of the office, Liz is actively involved with sustainability initiatives locally and regionally. She is the founder and President of Go Green Winnetka, a non-profit group whose mission is to raise awareness and inspire action regarding sustainability. She is also the Vice President of Go Green Illinois Schools, a group with a similar mission that works with elementary, middles, and high schools. In 2017, Liz was nominated to serve on Winnetka’s Environmental and Forestry Commission, where she currently serves.
