*The USPTO will delay imposition of these fee changes for Section 66 (Madrid Protocol) filings until February 18, 2025 because of certain treaty obligations. In addition, the surcharges described here will not apply to Madrid Protocol filings for now, due to technical restrictions in WIPO’s filing systems, which it has committed to address. The USPTO will reevaluate the fee structure for all Section 66 applications after the WIPO’s filing systems have been updated to accommodate the additional surcharges.
